I’ve been interested in drawing and painting from as long as I can remember. After leaving school I studied creative design at Loughborough where I specialised in visual studies, silversmithing and ceramics. Spent, 35 years working in education, writing and teaching art, craft and latterly, computer aided design. During that time I painted as a hobby and was taught life drawing by Gill Nadin during the 1980s.
After retiring from full time teaching in 2010, to pursue a career in painting, drawing and printing, I now work in oils, acrylics and relief printing from my small studio in Lincolnshire,
My wide ranging subject matter is drawn from observation, atmosphere and personal experience. I exhibit my work locally and have paintings in private collections in Australia, France, Germany and the USA. I was accepted as a member of the Lincolnshire Artists’ Society in April 2010 and I exhibit regularly with Art On The Map in West Lincolnshire.
